{"id":270,"date":"2014-07-12T01:54:50","date_gmt":"2014-07-12T01:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.torresreplica.com\/?p=270"},"modified":"2014-07-16T12:54:36","modified_gmt":"2014-07-16T12:54:36","slug":"recent-news-refining-rosette-technique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.torresreplica.com\/?p=270","title":{"rendered":"Recent news: Refining rosette technique"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This website publicizes my research and the experimentation with making replicas\u00a0of\u00a0the &#8220;FE-18&#8221;, a guitar that was built in 1864 by Antonio de Torres.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the research took place in 2010 and 2011, and the making of and experimenting with the replicas has been going on ever since. The results of the research are\u00a0a set of technical drawings that can be <a title=\"Purchase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.torresreplica.com\/?page_id=193\">purchased here<\/a>, and a <a title=\"3D-CT Scan\" href=\"https:\/\/www.torresreplica.com\/?page_id=182\">3D-CT scan<\/a>\u00a0of the original instrument\u00a0that is still under evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>An extensive process of the replication process and experimentation <a title=\"Build\" href=\"https:\/\/www.torresreplica.com\/?page_id=15\" target=\"_blank\">can be found here<\/a>. Keep in mind that this section\u00a0is still growing as the process is still underway, and getting updated regularly.<\/p>\n<p>I will be presenting some of my research at the <a href=\"http:\/\/ctm.parsons.edu\/the-future-of-guitar-and-instrument-design\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Future of the Guitar workshop &amp; lecture series&#8221;<\/a> at Parsons The New School in New York in October.
